Astrology

One of my favourite subjects (because of my Aquarius rising lolololol).

I know there are lots of people who think this Astrological stuff is bullshit but I've bolded parts so that even people who don't know a whole lot about me can see how scarily accurate this stuff is.

If you send me your time date and place of birth I should be able to do a star chart for you too. With help from Jess, I swear she's psychic or something :O.

Libra Sun (air element):

Libra is the Seventh sign of the Zodiac. It is sometimes referred to as the Balance. The origin of the word Libra derives from the Latin meaning "balances" or "scales." Those born under this Sign are natural arbitrators and diplomats, constantly seeking balance and harmony. In short, they are sociable, cheerful and charming souls. Perhaps the greatest fault of this Sign is indecision. Libra individuals find it difficult to make up their minds and strongly dislike taking sides. Although they have an aversion to those who are rude, they themselves can frequently be disconcertingly brash and blunt. Nonetheless, some astrologers consider Libra to be the most desirable of all Zodiac types because it represents the zenith of the year. Libra is representative of balance...the weighing of values and justice. When those ruled by this Zodiac Sign manage to bring balance into their lives and curtail the inherent tendency to waver from one side to the other, then they will find the contentment that is so necessary to their well-being.

The opposite sign to Libra is Aries. From Aries, Libra can learn to take the initiative and sometimes stand up for beliefs without manipulation. Thus, can Libra natives navigate the way to find their own identity.

  • Positive Traits: easygoing, sociable, peaceable, idealistic, diplomatic, urbane, romantic, charming and refined (not sure about the other two ask someone else :P)
  • Negative Traits: flirtatious, self-indulgent, indecisive, lazy, changeable, guillable, resentful, frivolous and easily influenced by others
  • Likes: gentleness, sharing, conviviality and the "finer" things of life
  • Dislikes: injustice, violence, brutishness, disharmony, quarrels and bad manners
  • Spiritual Goal: To learn how to overcome personal fears
  • Anatomy: Rules the lower back, liver and kidneys (remember what I've promised to donate to people? :O)
  • Corresponding Tarot Card: Justice
  • Associated Countries: Austria, Japan, Burma and Tibet
  • Associated Cities: Copenhagen, Vienna and Johannesburg
  • Animals: Elephants, Snakes, Lizards and All Small Reptiles
  • Watchword: Harmony
  • Keynote: Beauty (aka HOT)
  • Physical Manifestation: Equilibrium
  • Mental Manifestation: Balance
  • Motto: Love Is My Star
  • Quote: I Balance

Gemini Moon (air element):

The Gemini Moon is an intuitive Moon...a rapid learner operating on a mental plane. This is a rather charming Moon with magnificent speaking and writing talents. This Moon struggles to maintain independence and tends to be high-strung...at times, a restless and somewhat confusing combination. However, the swift mental activity of the inherent Gemini character coupled with the emotionality of the Moon causes feelings to be held in too much scrutiny. The Gemini Moon expresses emotions in an uneven and inconsistent manner while harboring a direct need to speak the truth.

The Moon in Gemini is excellent in terms of intellect and those who fall under its jurisdiction are inevitably attracted to the literary and the scientific, which tends to indicate that the chosen vocation will also be somewhat intellectual...writer, teacher, journalist or scientist, etc. Those with their Moon sign in Gemini are not always honest people, particularly in their dealings with those around them. However, they are usually so proficient at deception, that others rarely realize they have been hoodwinked (teehee) Moon in Gemini people tend to be nervous, witty and changeable, thriving on communication and the "cut and thrust" of the social world. Boredom cannot be tolerated by these persons and there is a proclavity for an "up and down" type of personality. The spoken word is the chief means of relating for those who fall under the jurisdiction of this Moon sign, and they are equally adept at coming up with the perfect "put-down" as they are with impressing others through their cleverness and wit.

Aquarius Rising (air element):

Your independence is legendary and, of course, you do tend to be somewhat opinionated, especially in matters that have stimulated your interest in the offbeat. Others stand little chance of changing your ideas, for you must become convinced on your own account that such changes are necessary. You probably like science, sociology, music and design, while your pursuit of hidden things and unusual research can lead you to an interest in astrology and other arcane matters. You are good with money, which tends to come your way unexpectedly, yet appropriately to your lifestyle. You are subject to nervous conditions, problems with the lower legs, ankles and stiffness or inflexibility of the bones and joints.

AIR ELEMENTS:
ASPECT/POLARITY: Masculine, which is not a reference to gender but to the associated type of energy. In the case of the masculine aspect, the energy is projective and traditionally conceived as being more active, less receptive and focused on the spiritual/mental world, lending spirituality and activity (both physical and mental) to the character. Masculine signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius) are diurnal or day-oriented by nature, viewed in the same light as the Yang (or bright) polarity of the Tao.
SEASON: Spring...the time of freshness.
VIRTUE: Knowledge...which is not to infer that Air is more intelligent than the other three Elements, but is generally well-rounded and perhaps better informed. Air is a good communicator, possesses an excellent grasp of language and usually knows a little something about everything. Air is blessed with a good personality and is easy to get to know.
CORE/INDIVIDUALITY: Seer...also known to the ancient philosophers as a priest. Air is mentally inclined, actively acquiring knowledge by means of experience, education and association. In times gone by, the only educated people were either priests or royal personages who took it upon themselves to acquire knowledge. Air is curious, original and possesses initiative, in addition to being (as a general rule) well-disciplined and a quick thinker.
NATURE: Mental and keen-witted. Air rationalizes by thinking things through rather than falling victim to emotional influences or physical factors. Air enjoys any type of entertainment where intellectual capacity and the ability to think quickly and accurately comes into play. Indeed, under such circumstances, Air is almost certain to get the upper hand.
EMOTION: Self appraisal. Air is prone to judge itself extremely harshly and tends to set certain personal standards in terms of hygiene, clothing, education, job performance and family. With the exception of Fire, Air is the most ego-oriented Element of the Zodiac.
EVILS: Chief fault is trickery. Air is crafty, underhanded and ingenious when it comes to evil...though not prone to physical violence. At its worst, Air is the epitome of mean-spiritedness and will invariably harbor a grudge. Air is swift to express opinions and is exceedingly opinionated. Air will not hesitate to verbally express anger, but physical violence is not generally a first choice in terms of an attack.
POSITIVE CHARACTERISTICS: Intelligence, Diligence, Optimism, Dexterity, Persuasiveness and Psychic Abilities.
NEGATIVE CHARACTERISTICS: Lack of Communication, Tendency to Gossip and Memory Problems.
SENSE: Smell and Hearing.
SYMBOLS: Staff, Wand, Broom, Athame, Sword, Censer, Sky, Wind, Circle, Bird, Bell, Sylph, Flute, Chimes, Breezes, Clouds, Plants, Herbs, Flowers and Trees.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Flute and all Wind Instruments.
PLANTS AND TREES: Almond, Broom, Clover, Lavender, Frankincense, Pine, Mhyrr, Pansy, Primrose, Vervain, Violet, Yarrow, Dill and the Aspen Tree.
STONES: Topaz, Yellow Flourite, Crystals, Amethyst, Alexandrite, light stones such as Pumice and transparent stones such as Mica.
METALS: Tin and Copper.
LOCATIONS: Mountaintops, Tree Tops Plains, Windy Beaches, High Towers Airports Schools and Libraries.
ANIMALS: Birds (especially the Eagle, Hawk and Raven), Insects and Spiders.
POINT IN LIFE: Childhood and Infancy.
BODY PARTS: Chest, Lungs, Throat and the Brain.
HOUR: Dawn.
MOTTO: To Know.

In summary:

Libra Sun: Peaceful, sociable, changable, does things for people too easily, too flirty, too lazy. Hates violence, likes arty/creative. Also likes Elephants.

Gemini Moon:
Moody, bitchy, creative/arty, literary, witty

Aquarius Rising:
Weird, nervous, arty and creative

Wind Element:
Creative/Arty, energetic, communal, gossipy, quiet, nerdy. Most compatible with fire elements (Aries, Leo, Saggitarius).

Look what's in all 4 categories :P
