Black Fingernails, Red Wine

Ok. So last night was Eskimo Joe's Black Fingernails Red Wine Show. Little Birdy were the opening act. Pretty much heaven. Katy Steele is rocking blonde hair which makes her look like some sort of awesome Courtney Love but even more amazing. I would have to say that this was my favourite concert along with Trivium because of three reasons: The bands didn't have the ego or stage act that Dragonforce had because they aren't internationally huge I knew all of Little Birdy's and most of Eskimo Joe' s songs (including the lyrics) As did the crowd. So there was just like a hoarde of people all singing together. BLACK FINGERNAILS RED WINE. I WANNA MAKE YOU ALL MINE. I was surrounded by about 6 of my friends and we all were moshing/spazzing/skanking and going crazy. Especially when it was our favourite songs. I wasn't the smallest person there like at all the metal shows so I didn't need to fight to survive. I really loved Slayer and Lamb of God but I didn't know their songs as well as I do LB/EJ or even Trivium. It also helped that we were front centre. Highlights: Katy and Simon (LB guitarist) rocking out big time during Don't. It was amazing. Eskimo Joe were all wearing painfully tight black pants and waistcoats/ties. It was like, metro/indie central and made me laugh. Joel's shoes were amazing and I'm not even a fashion person. We yelled out to him that we wanted them and he laughed at us. Bumping into Aneta, Anne and Emma randomly and making our group massive and really fun. Our group atmosphere was just awesome. Sneaking into Metros without the proper dress code. Bahaha my long socks for the win. Bad Points: Forgetting Metros requires you to not be wearing shorts. (long socks somehow covered this up) Gross really old drunk lady feeling me up before it started. Like. Touching not cool areas. Anne totally put the smackdown on her (ie shoved her slightly and because she was drunk she just staggered off to grope someone else) Supre skanks (these two last two points are why metal is generally better) Metro Perth and it's general dodginess. Renee was SICK!
