I'm pretty sure it was actually Hey You from Tragic Kingdom. Obviously the songs that I KNEW was them would be Sunday Morning and Don't Speak. Q: What is your favourite album by #6 [Mastodon]? Blood Mountain is just way too tight. Special place in my heart to Leviathan, though. For being whalecore. Q: What is your favourite lyric of #7 [Megadeth]? lol snap. Of all the bands with AMAZING lyrics in that list.... Probably the chorus to Dread and the Fugitive mind. Q: What is your favourite song by #9 [DT]? Strange Deja Vu? This is kinda hard to answer really. Q: Is there a song of #1 that makes you sad [Garbage]? Bleed Like Me It's a good sad. It's just such a beautiful song but it's also depressing and kinda personal. Q: What is your favourite song by #8 [BB]? Most probably So Cold. Q: What is your favourite song by #10 [JoJ]? Vivica, without a question. Q: What is your favourite album by #8 [BB]? Phobia. =D Good times with that album. Q: How did you get into #5 [Little Birdy]? They're from WA and JJJ is awesome like that. Also because of the song Relapse. omfg. <3 Q: What is your favourite song by #4 [Placebo]? This is really hard. I think I've been obsessed with almost every song by them at some point. I'd have to say Special K was a favourite when I first got BMM and it hasn't really diminished the more I hear it. But I could say the same for Infra-Red on Meds, I'll Be Yours on SWG or Every You, Every Me on WYIN. The list goes on. I think I pick Special K though. Q: Who is your favourite member of #1 [Garbage]? I think I have to say Shirley even though everyone's brilliant. She is basically my favourite person in the world so yeah. Q: What does #9 remind you of [DT]? My mates. Most of them probably wouldn't be able to name an album or song by most of the other bands on my list but these guys connect us =) Go team. Q: Is there a song by #3 that makes you sad [Tegan and Sara]? All of them. T&S are fucking emo as. lololol. The main tear jerker is Nineteen though. Oh my god when they played that live. Holy. hell. Waterworks. Same as when I first heard it. It's just. So. True. ugh. Q: What is your favourite song by #1 [Garbage]? um wtf how am I supposed to answer this question. This is even harder than Placebo. I just can't get enough of ANY of their songs that's why they're #1. Q: Which of the ten have influenced you the most? Growing up a lot of the music I listened to I've shedded and I'm now ashamed of but No Doubt, Garbage and Little Birdy have always been there with their injection of self-esteem when I most needed it. I don't really have any 'idols' in those bands. I don't want to BE Shirley Manson, or like her, for example. Just her general attitude "Sup bitches, I'm me and it's awesome". Yeah, same with Gwen. I think that it wasn't until Placebo that a musician really expressed the kind of cliche "be yourself and don't be afraid of who you are" that I broke out of my shell so they get a special mention, even though I haven't been listening to them for as long. Q: Which artist makes you the most happy? Little Birdy =D =D Katy's voice is just so happy Q: Which artist have you liked the longest? I think Jack off Jill, actually. Q: Are there any artists you will be listening to in 20 years? I always think about this question. It's easy to say "yes all of them" but when I consider all the bands that I've drifted away from, some I'm even ashamed to associate with now it's not so clear. Little Birdy will never die. Too many memories of shows and songs for that. I think Placebo because that's what they are as a band. No matter what they did it would "be Placebo" of them. If I'm not ashamed of them now, I never will be. I could never stop listening to Garbage. I can picture 40 year old me singing "I'M ONLY HAPPY WHEN IT RAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNZZZZZZZ" and "STUPID GURLLLLLLLL. I CAN'T BELIEEEEEEVE YOU FAKE IT". Tegan and Sara have a lot of music about serious relationships which I haven't experienced enough of to 'get' at the moment so I think they'll just keep getting better and better. No Doubt if only because I'm so stubborn that I'll never admit I don't like them anymore because I've been so vocal about how awesome they are for ages.
