Much Ado about Nothing

This week in uni was one of "too much information".

First, English Literature 102, imagine a 40 year old shakespeare buff (female) telling us about the "true meanings" of the title of the play we're studing 'Much Ado about Nothing'. Apparently it was pronounced 'no thing' in the Elizabethan era and the modern title would read "Much Ado about Pussy" or "Lets watch stupid females gossip and bitch about one another". The second one I made up, the first one the 40 year old lecturer told us. I nearly regurgitated my pocky.

Secondly, Asain Studies 102, imagine a 60 year old eccentric French lady with really curly boofy hair. We were discussing the unequal treaties which effected 19th century Japan and she was trying to explain a "free trade agreement".

This is the exact words she used:

Free trade agreements are a bit tedious, um... kind of like threesomes... somebody always misses out. (60 year old French lady). The most entertaining part was seeing the faces of the 7 other people in my tutorial group drop into vizages of pure horror. While the 7 Japanese students still didn't understand.

My third unit saw some creepy guy telling us how he rummaged through terrorist's garbage bins to find incriminating documents and how none of our information is safe. I think he lives in a bubble with more traps than Bowser's castle.

Finally Japanese. A group of people asking if they can take photos of everyone else. (We were doing permission) OR saying that they are too busy and can't go out with you tonight, even though you're a complete stranger... (Yes I know how to pike you in Japanese now bitches. :P)

My week was creepy and I still have one more japanese lesson. Tomorrow I get to ask strangers advice about my personal life - in japanese.

I think what I need is a hoof to the head. Preferably a large one from a tauren or something (gah, I read "World of Warcraft" in one of your blogs recently...).

But you'll all be mine in the end so it doesn't matter.

kehehe

wow. What a boring day, but I must say I had a blast reading this. I mean "I think he lives in a bubble with more traps than Bowser's castle."

my units are shit compared to yours. we have a dumb maths teacher who makes stupid jokes about 'where's wally'...her name is wally. all we do in human movement is look at cadavers. human bio involves sitting in a class cracking jokes about whatever diagrams we happen to have on the table, eg. one of down symdrome and kleinfelter's. and linguistics is looking around the room counting how many hot females there are...i got to 75 today then the lecture finished...shame i don't have it tomorrow.
