Mixed Signals
Comforting Lie
I had my Japanese Aural today and it turned out quite well. *happy dance* On the way 'home' I totally was on the bus and bored and angry because this wheelchaired person took 10 minutes to get on, and refused help from everyone. I met Benjamin-chan and Riordan-face in fremantle and we got on the train to Perth. These days I can hardly walk without falling over so I totally suck at trains and busses. I used to be fine. I didn't slip too much this time though... It was really quite something to hear new songs from them, even if they are all 6 years old. The album is very lyrical and quite moving. (Bah! To Ben and his thrash metal, "I don't need words" attitude.) One of my favourites is Comforting Lie which I have (clearly) posted up there. I suggest you read it. I also got Beacon Street (1994 Garage-recorded album, much less lyrical and more Ben-friendly :P) but I haven't put it in yet, still getting over the sheer emotionalness of RoS. Anyway. We went along to get curry, it was not very good. I think I need to force feed Ben Taka's Chicken Katsu Curry so he realises what he's been missing out on. Also the drinks there are $2, cheapest in Perth probably, not $4, most expensive in Perth probably. :P Then I went home, got blown away by RoS, did some Japanese, pwned The Axe and Faceless Terror with my Centaur Warchief (can you say natural regeneration faster than their damage, not to mention life stealing attacks.) and now I'm on the interwebs. Plan for this evening: Finish Japanese and fish out my old Keyboard and maybe crank out the Saxophone, I've been inspired by music shops and, No Doubt... no doubt. :D Catch you all later! |

We were planning to import Return of Saturn for you for your birthday... Or at least I was...
I know what it feels like to get the new album by your favourite artist, even if it's been out for years (Houses of the Holy...) so... good on ya man. Cya round.
Yay for thrash metal!
And yeah $11 was a bit too much for lunch today.
Next time I'll demand a small size, and refuse to pay for more than that. And I'll take my own coke from home <_<
buy it > $AUD 30.95NO DOUBT - RETURN OF SATURN CD (4906222)
First place I looked
what is the site u use for your LP's andrew?
Yes, the internet. Such a lovely place to buy things.
It is a pity my mother doesn't allow me to do that sort of thing and I'm not STEALING her credit card/pay pal account/whatever to pay for it.
But it all turned out fine. I got it for $26 ^^.
hey, it just hit me: u know what style No Doubt sometimes play (refers to Magic's in the makeup, among others) ?
it's vergin' onto fockin' reggae, mon!
dave, u gotta stead Eddie's jamacan dreadie beanie now. didn't gwen stefani have dreddies at one point? maybe that was madonna.....
but anyway, LOL!
Adamo:
Lol, they um, have an entire Album named Rocksteady... I think that does suggest jamaican roots.
Roberto:
Shame, then I could play Six Feet Under off the track and sing along:
Today's my birthday and I get one every year! And it's hard to believe that soon I'll be buried six feet underground... dead and buried no longer around.
