How I Practically had sex with Tegan Part Two
| Alright. So. Tegan and Sara. They were the first of my absolute top favourite international musicians I had seen play live. That was on December the 10th, 2007. I saw them again on Friday, the 9th of January, 2009. There are no words that can do this concert justice. Setlist (now proudly displayed on my notice board at home, along with my ticket stubs and other concert things). Dark Come Soon You Wouldn't Like Me I Bet It Stung Walking With A Ghost Hop A Plane -> Superstar (a song from their first demo) Living Room So Jealous I Know I Know I Know Like O, Like H Give Chase (an unreleased song Tegan appartenly wrote about 11 years ago) Knife Going In Nineteen (you know what that means? Waterworks from David) Where Does The Good Go (the waterworks continue) Speak Slow Burn Your Life Down Call It Off (entire crowd sang the first verse + chorus.) The Con --- Relief Next To Me Dancing in the Dark (Sara wanted to be Bruce Springstein when she was growing up) Back In Your Head. So out of 5 albums and countless unreleased songs/bsides/random EP tracks this was my dream setlist, if I had to pick, except for about 3 songs. I don't care where I have to go next time. I will see them every time they come to Australia. No matter what. Now here's hoping for Placebo (I will go interstate so hard. Like every date) and No Doubt Tours soon (fucking ND only doing a US leg). |
